Governing Board Member; Rowland Unified School District

It's as simple as A-B-C:

Accountability: Part of the Rowland Unified Core Values read: "We believe each individual can and should be responsible and accountable for his/her decisions and actions." Not only should we hold our students accountable for their grades, their successes and their behavior, our School Board Members must hold themselves to the same high standard. As a Board Member I will commit to maintaining the highest level of ethics and integrity in our schools.

Budget: Financial accountability is the essence of any school district. Rowland Unified learned some painful lessons this past year with decreased funding at the State and Federal level. Keeping a healthy reserve and actively working with our community and business partners will ensure that our students, our school employees and our district are able to maintain quality programs for every student.

Class Size: There is no doubt about it, smaller class size makes better students. Whether is in the primary or secondary grade level, teachers are far more effective and have an increased ability to teach when there are fewer students per teacher. As a member of the Rowland Unified School Board, I will fight to keep smaller classes.

Community and educational leaders agree, I am the right choice for students and the right choice for Rowland Unified.
