EID needs to be more accessable to customers.

By Harry Norris

Candidate for Board member; El Dorado Irrigation District; Division 5

This information is provided by the candidate
EID needs to do a better job of listening to its customers, keeping them informed, and addressing customers' questions.
EID needs to get out in the community for face to face meetings with its customers. Forums and focus groups to address such items as the bond issue should be held in each EID division so that customers can provide feedback and at the same time become better informed about EID operatons.

A booth at the county fair and at each Chamber of Commerce Expo, for example, would be a great way for customers to meet EID staff and EID board representatives. EID could even build a display showing key EID operations. Or, maybe provide EID water to thirsty county fair patrons.

The customer contact at these events would go a long way toward improving the public's perception and understanding of EID. It's time for EID and its customers to understand each other better. It could be fun too!
