This election is not merely about changing governors # it is about the future of California. This can be the historic turning point when this generation takes our government back from the special interests that dominate it and restores to our children the land of opportunity that our parents gave to us. In the first hour of my administration, I will rescind Davis' tripling of the car tax, act to void Davis' $42 billion of overpriced electricity contracts and call a special session of the legislature to overhaul our failing workers' compensation system. Our new governor will take office as soon as the election is over. There is no training period. For more than 20 years I have fought in the public arena for the reforms necessary to roll back the regulations and taxes that are crushing our families, rein in the bureaucracies that are destroying our economy and restore our long-neglected public works. • I founded the campaign to abolish California's car tax. • I sued to stop the rip-off of California consumers by the energy monopolies. • I spearheaded the drive to rebate excessive taxes to families. • And I have battled waste and fraud in both Republican and Democratic administrations. I am not a millionaire # I have devoted my career to fighting for the fiscal reforms needed to save our state and protect working families. Please visit my website at http://www.tommcclintock.com to see the specific measures I have proposed and to help this grassroots campaign to restore California. |
