Sara Ann Hanlon - Candidate for GovernorBy Sara Ann HanlonCandidate for Recall of Gray Davis; State of California | |

Short statementWhen I came to California it was the Golden State. Now it's awash in red ink. We're recalling Gray Davis, but if we could we'd recall the entire legislature. It makes the "Do Nothing Congress" that President Harry Truman had to battle with look entrepreneurial. Our legislature is sacrificing the major issues, the needs of the people. Special interests and campaign contributions take precedence over problem solving. As an independent candidate for governor, I sincerely want to use this democratic process to have a serious forum - to force the major parties to turn toward the middle and to work for the people, not special interests. The only special interest worth listening to is, We the people. |
