A Balance At All School Sites

By Kenneth D. "Ken" Sherman

Candidate for Governing Board Member; Moorpark Unified School District

This information is provided by the candidate
As a School Board Trustee I look forward to being the voice of a balanced approach at all school sites with academic focus having more weight, but the arts and sports having support by our district, as well.
My desire to seek the office of School Board Trustee is to make decisions that will best serve the educational growth of all of the students in the district. I believe that the Moorpark School District is one of the best in the state and not only do we have a good administrative team in place, but we have the loyalty, hard work and dedication of great parent volunteers at all levels at every school in the district. They really are the backbone and the driving force. They are the first ones to act to protect their kids and, within the parent and booster groups, the people that provide the additional dollars needed to support the programs that the regular school budget may be unable to afford. My commitment has always been to help M.U.S.D. build on its successes, and achieve more with the resources that are available.
