Shall the term of the Mayor be four (4) years, commencing with the election in 2004?

Impartial Analysis from the City Attorney
Shall the term of the Mayor be four years? The City of Riverbank is governed by a City Council consisting of four council members and a mayor. When the office of Mayor, as a separately elected office, was approved by the voters some years ago, the people chose a two-year term for the Mayor. The terms of council members are four years. If Measure B passes, the office of Mayor would have a four-year term, commencing with the election in November, 2004.

Respectfully submitted,

s/ Thomas N. Hallinan
