I would be honored to earn your vote to become the next Republican Governor of California. The past twelve months of campaigning throughout California have been the most exciting and yet humbling experiences in my life. The breadth of support for our campaign of conservative ideas is overwhelming as demonstrated by our skyrocketing poll numbers. During the course of this campaign we have exposed the facts about Governor Davis' bungling of the energy crisis, were the first to recommend a comprehensive plan to solve our looming budget crisis and continue to stand tall for our conservative Republican principles. I am running for Governor because career politicians have ignored our problems: + Our roads are the most congested in America. + California public schools rank near the bottom nationwide. + We pay the country's highest electricity rates. + Our budget is out of balance, and taxes are rising. To fix these problems, I offer my successful record of leadership: + As a businessman=> Creating jobs. I was involved in helping to launch the family-friendly PAX TV network (free of graphic sex, violence and language) as a way for the private sector to improve the quality and calibre of entertainment for families. + A charitable leader=> Helping people without government money. My family taught me early on that it was important to give back to others. + A federal prosecutor=> Working with U.S. Attorney Rudy Giuliani to fight crime. We took on the five Mafia crime families and busted reckless corporate polluters. My record proves that I know how to lead and solve problems. I'm pleased to share many of my positions on important issues here at the Smart Voter website. You may find out more about me and my campaign at my campaign website: http://www.SimonForGovernor.com. Together, we can insure sound Republican values and principles will be used to renew the California dream. |
