Taxation With Representation isn't so hot either.By Michael S. MettiCandidate for State Senator; District 36 | |

Taxes aren't the price we pay to live in a free society, they're the price of our chains. Freedom is the price we pay to live in a taxed society. Help me to help you break the chains. We desperately need to change the all consuming direction that the government is headed in. It's too big, too intrusive, too expensive and too clumsy. Since it can only accomplish tasks through the use of politics, there is very little it can do efficiently. We have had a two party system that has taken their turn at the helm of the government in this great state a number of times and the results are always the same. More Big Government. So rather than playing politics with what must be cut in order to stop the massive financial hemmoraging that is currently happening, why not privatize as many departments of the government as possible so that they must survive as the rest of us do in the real world. Let the competion of the free market decide what should survive or what should fall to the waste side. If we can accomplish this task, we can honestly end the state income tax. Any other way is nothing more than a pie in the sky. |
