DAVID KAWAS Age: 34

Occupation: Husband, Father, Account Manager

Education and Qualifications: I was born and raised in San Mateo County and am a first generation American who cherishes the freedom and opportunity of the United States.

I live in San Mateo with my wife Mary Ann and three children and I decided to run because I believe Sacramento could use a little old-fashioned common sense.

Do you have any say in the way our schools are run or the way our taxes are spent? Doesn't feel like it, does it? We need a change in Sacramento because our quality of life keeps going down while our taxes keep going up.

In addition, our state politicians seem to be more concerned about protecting government rights and collecting more taxes than it is about individual liberties and the taxpayer.

In California, the average taxpayer works until April 29th to pay all the taxes owed to various levels of government. Despite it's inefficiencies and waste, government consistently grows to the detriment of every Californian. I will work to change that.

I will be your voice in the Capitol so we can return control and accountability back to local school districts, improve our transportation system, and lower taxes for a more prosperous California.

I will always put the best interest of the people first, will be a voice for every resident in the district, and will be a true "citizen legislator."

We need change. I respectfully ask for your vote.
