My qualifications as presented in the Voter's PamphletMy name is Paul Stutrud. This is my fifth time running for City Council. I am persistent even facing the odds of running against candidates pushed by the "old boys" who brought this city to near financial ruin. It's time to get rid of the incumbents. Put people in place who will be there for the community not developers. From my first campaign in 1994 I stated that Rohnert Park is running out of water. Today water is a crisis situation. We ran out of sewage capacity years ago but our city council ignored that fact. Rohnert Park does not have a real fire department. See my discussion of the fire department at < http://www.sonoma.edu/cja/info/RPFire.html>. I campaigned that issue and the best we have is three fire stations staffed by police officers. They do their best but we need a separate fire department. I question the management skills of the City Manager. Highly paid but what does he show for it? A near bankrupt city. I'll say it again. We need to get rid of the incumbents and put people in office who will serve the city for the best interests of the citizens. As a city councilman I will put your, the citizens of Rohnert Park, first. Vote for Paul Stutrud. |
