Political Philosophy for Jeanne Bassett Fernandes
Candidate for |
I definitely describe myself as middle of the road politically. I have always been the peacemaker type, and I very seldom lean one-way or the other politically. I will always vote for the candidate(s) that I feel will do the best job; I do not vote along a party line. I will also look at an issue and decide if I think it is good for our community, our county, our state or our nation...and then vote accordingly. Whether you might agree with me or not on a particular issue please know that I will always process information in an objective way and make the best decision with the information that I have at any given moment. That is not to say that upon further information being received and issues evolving and emerging, that my decisions may change as processes evolve. I want what is best for kids! I believe in public education... Our teenage population is our future... we must keep them on the forefront of every decision we make, they will be our future leaders, and they will be deciding our fate when we are old and watching from afar. We need them to be educated and to improve upon where this generation has begun. Our youth of today should be equipped to take their place in society as well rounded, reliable, respectful, and productive individuals, and I will continue to maintain fiscal responsibility and to support programs that give our students the tools to be successful in these areas. |
