KEN LUNDIE

Occupation: Incumbent

Education and Qualifications:

I'm a Fireboat Pilot who owns two commercial fishing boats at Pillar Point Harbor. I formerly served on the Monterey Bay National Marine Marine Sanctuary Advisory Council.

As a Harbor Commissioner, I've maintained exemplary attendance and voting records. Regrettably, I've had little success in fulfilling my principle campaign promise of bringing needed reforms to a District that has been under investigation by the San Mateo County Civil Grand Jury for two years.

The Harbor Board is split 3-2 along ideological lines with myself and Commissioner Sally Campbell in the minority. It is imperative that Candidate Lisa Fernandez, whom we both endorse, be elected, for only then can public confidence and fiscal accountability be restored to this beleaguered Public Agency.

Historically, the Harbor Board has been controlled by short-sighted politicians who habitually pander to developers and special interest groups to the detriment of boaters and the general public. Currently, half of the County's registered voters are under-represented for the Commission is comprised of four men and only one woman. Please consider restoring balance and fiscal integrity to the San Mateo County Harbor District by electing the team of Ken Lundie and Lisa Fernandez to the Harbor Board. It has been an honor to serve you.

/s/ Ken Lundie
