Political Philosophy for Leah Berlanga
Candidate for |
I believe City leaders should have a commitment towards bringing communities together and making government work for the people. I believe in strong effective leadership that will not buckle under political pressure and will make educated and cautious decisions about the future of our citizens. Collaboration is important among Council members. My experience leading COHRA (16 Homeowner and Neighborhood Associations) has prepared me well for building consensus among various groups on tough issues. The courage to stand alone is just as important especially when issues threaten or may have an adverse affect on the quality of life of our citizens. I believe government should be inclusive and accountable to its citizens. Government should provide proper notification and fiscal accountability on all projects. |
