The business and professional communities need qualified workers, and these communities can help in satisfying this need.
As a small business owner, I am aware of the business community's need for qualified workers. City College of San Francisco is the perfect venue to provide excellent, low-cost education that eventually leads to the workplace. I would like to see members of the business and professional communities increase their involvement with City College by volunteering to 1) Visit classrooms to talk about how they run a successful business or profession, 2) Provide conducted tours of their workplace, 3) Make themselves available for student questions, 4) Hire students part time.
