The City of Oceanside deserves the best police and fire departments we can afford.First and foremost we want the best Police and Fire Departments possible. We need to supply them with the best and most modern equipment. To attract and retain the best candidates we need to be one of the top paying cities in the county. Currently we are not competitive in pay or benefits for our police and fire departments. Senior officers are leaving to go to departments where the equipment works and the pay allows them to own a home in communities like ours. |
