Future Schools: The City of Carlsbad is growing rapidly to its eventual build-out. All the main pieces of vacant land are now being planned, and it is time to chart the location and size of the rest of our schools. A major question to answer is whether or not Carlsbad should add another high school to its district. I suspect that there will not be one right answer that everyone shares, but hopefully there will be a best overall choice. To make this determination the District will need to gather information from all affected parties and analyze many different issues. My experience as a facility planner and campus developer should prove useful.
