  • Master of Science degree in Biology, San Diego State University 1972. Lt (jg), USN, Vietnam Conflict 1968-70, owner of Pacific Southwest Biological
  • Services and Tierra Madre Consultants, the former since 1975, employing up to 40 persons at one time in the environmental consulting and natural
  • lands restoration market. Presently servicing on the boards of the San Diego Futures Foundation; Otay Valley Regional Citizens' Advisory Board;
  • Stein Family Historic Farm; National City Community Food Bank; Metropolitan Transit Development Board and Joint Committee on Regional Transit
  • Organist at First Baptist Church and First Congregational Church in National City.
  • Married 33 years with two daughters, one graduated with double major at UC Irvine as a Regents Scholar and the other an EPA Star Fellowship at ASU
Top Priorities if Elected
  • Maximize use of existing transporation and utility infrastructure to provide more affordable housing in the region.
  • Promote more Community-based Policing to remove gang and drug elements in the region.
  • Develop a broader base of work opportunities within the city and region.
