  • Improve negotiation relationships between the district and unions
  • Develop long range plan to house students and staff in overcrowded schools
  • Focus curricular efforts on meeting state mandated standards and accountability to statewide standardized testing

Collegial Negotiations
Each school district receives a specified amount of funds from the state based on average daily attendance of students. The district and employee unions must work collaborativey to direct these funds in many important directions.
Adequate space to house staff and students
There is an immediate need to implement a plan to construct another high school to meet the needs of a growing student population.
Testing and Accountability
Testing and accountability is becoming more important as the state continues to place additional requirement on local schools. The district, staff and parents play an integral roll in this process.
