|
I am a third generation native of Santa Barbara County. My family has a long history with the Santa Ynez Valley and Buellton. My grandfather, Landon Barnes was born in Los Olivos in 1899. He worked and lived for a time on the old McMurry place here in Buellton. My mother and her siblings grew up in the Valley and attended the old Jonata School, where the library is now. I lived in the Valley in the late sixties, attending the old Los Olivos School and Santa Ynez High School. My family then returned to Santa Barbara in 1969. I graduated from Santa Barbara High School and earned a BA and a teaching credential from UCSB. I moved to Buellton five years ago and I am currently a teacher at Laguna Blanca School in Santa Barbara |
