This information is provided by the candidate |
Hi, my name is Jim Cook. I am running for a seat on the Elk Grove City Council in this coming November's election. I am running, because I am concerned about the changes that are taking place in our community. I sincerely believe that with my background, dedication to Elk Grove, and my proven leadership ability to work with diverse personalities, that I can make a positive difference for the better. A New Attitude: I am passionate about my desire to help our community. I desperately want this city to be a safe, clean and prosperous community for all of us. I am committed to increasing our public safety is second to none. I believe that this election is important due to the issues and concerns that you and your family may have. I know that the City Council needs a "New Attitude" that will look for new and innovative ideas to generate additional revenues for Elk Grove. I believe in my heart and soul that our community can be better, and that we can accomplish much more than we have. I know this election is about you and that is why I am running for Elk Grove City Council in November. Seniors: Between rising housing costs and poor planning, the ability of our valuable seniors to afford to live in Elk Grove is being threatened. Once again, this refers back to proper planning, good development and a City Council panel that is willing to send a developer back to the drawing board to build a community that is affordable for our seniors. The senior communities should include walking passes, bike lanes and environmental walkways. |
