Board Member; Dry Creek Joint School District

This letter is to express my strongest possible endorsement for Joseph Androlowicz as a board member for the Dry Creek Elementary School District.

Joe was a member of the Napa County Board of Trustees from 1999 until he moved from Napa County in 2001. Joe initiated an annual Staff Appreciation luncheon, prepared by the board and served to staff, which was an enormous boost to staff morale. As the lead chef, Joe took on most of the work of getting donations, shopping, cooking, and serving. The luncheon was such a hit that it is continuing, and Joe has volunteered to once again take on the lead role this year, driving from his new home in Sacramento to participate.

Joe was the one board member that visited all of our programs and was a champion for our students. He spent time with the youngsters in Juvenile Hall, including being there for those who were still in the Hall at Christmas and arranging for a large donation of books. He worked with the Knights of Columbus to assist young people in need, and taught them the importance of volunteering to help in the community. Last year Joe was selected as Napa County's Volunteer of the Year, an honor he richly deserved.

Joe is always there for the superintendent, the staff, and the students. I can't imagine a more supportive board member. It was with great regret that I accepted his letter of resignation, and I still miss him at every board meeting.

You are most fortunate to have Joe as a potential board member. He has my wholehearted support.
