The need of Bannings to replace the Police DepartmentBy Anthony J. WeatherbeeCandidate for Council Member; City of Banning; 4 Year Term | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
Down town Banning is runnig rapid with with drug dealers and crime. As a homeowner in downtown Banning, I see drug deals happening daily. We have had our house broken into on several occasions. we have had our cars broken into.
As homeowners in Banning my Wife and I can't come home with out finding drug deals happening five feet away from our driveway. We have had to literally spend over $20,000.00 on damage to our house, our cars, new car alarms, new house alarms, security doors, security video cameras, legal cost, security lights, high electric bills, the monthly cost of a home security system, mental stress, and the cost of replacing stolen property not once but six times.
Lately there have been many bank robberies in Banning, crime has risen, stores are being broken into, drug deals are happening in pubic, murder and even kid nap.
The questions Banning resident should be asking is, Where are the Banning P.D when we need them? Why is the police department not doing their job? Why is down town Banning an unsafe place to live or own a business in.? How can we change this?
If elected as your new city councilmen, I would elect a vote to contract the Riverside County Sheriffs to take over the duties of the Banning Police Department.
The Riverside County Sheriffs are trained better, have drug dogs, already have a jail site in Banning, and are ready to handle the job. |
