Smart GrowthBy T. Michael "Mike" TylerCandidate for Council Member; City of Hemet | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
We need to have a Smart Master Plan for the whole City, and we need to follow and update existing ones.Since the late 1980's Hemet hasn't seen much growth and therefore hasn't seen the need to follow and update their Master Plans. The consequence we see now are developments next to each other that are opposing Architecturally, Overcrowding of schools and travelling long distances to shop, get gas and go out to eat. We need to think in the "NOW" and not in the "PAST" The center of Hemet is no longer on the East Side of town, and the priorities need to be rethought as to where money and time will be best spent for the future growth of Hemet, to reconsider smart spending of "OUR" tax dollars. |
