Strive to improve the weak relationship between the City of Lake Elsinore and EVMWD.Water is one of the most important elements of our lives. We drink it, wash our clothes and bathe in it. Elsinore Valley Municipal Water District has done a good job over the past 50 years, providing a safe, reliable water supply for our communities. This November, ratepayers can be assured of continued reliable, reasonably priced water by voting for me, John Purpura." I have been a local resident since 1981 and know every part of this community well. I have been Volunteer Consultant to Animal Friends of the Valley, past president of Wildomar Chamber of Commerce and current member of Lake Elsinore's Chamber and the Rotary Club. I was appointed to the Mayor's Library Committee and the Riverside County Child Care Consortium. I was a member of Water Board Task Force 2000 as well as the LEAPS hydro plant committee. I am a Vietnam veteran and current CEO of Linkline Communications, the area's largest Internet provider. These are my goals if elected: Bring up the standard of the wells in the district and make the existing one more efficient. Seek mutual agreements with other local water districts for cooperative water services contracts and purchace agreements. Attempt to locate outside sources of funding necessary to finance more sewer hook-ups. Do due diligence to finding the best routing for power lines that won't effect the standard and quality of life and living for the people living in my district. |
