Linkline is the largest regional provider of DSL, dial-up and multiple high speed communications T-1 lines. John Purpura has over 40 years experience , seven of which has been in the computer and ISP industry and over 33 years of experience in various construction management and business ownership positions. In late 1994, John founded Cosmo Computers, which eventually established the first fully digital dial-up network in southern California known as Cosmo Access. net. By 1999, Cosmo Access grew to a user base of 1,800, when it was acquired by Linkline Communications. Linkline initially made John VP General Manager and he subsequently became the CEO in December of 2000. Since then under John's leadership Linkline has developed into the Inland Empires largest regional I.S.P. providing high speed internet access and other communications services including, DSL, T-1, T-3, DS3 and other various multiple broadband services. John has worked with the AFL-CIO and Department of Industrial Relations in organizing and establishing a statewide construction apprenticeship program in cooperation with the California State Community College System. John founded Unlimited Dimensions Inc. and became one of the largest Drywall Contractors in Orange County, eventually building the company into an $8 million a year business. In the mid to late 70'S in partnership with Continental Development Inc. and Imperial Bank, John managed, planned and developed over $200 million in various types of construction projects including tract housing, multi-units and commercial developments. John was the COO of the El Risco Corporation, a $275 million Ranching and Development Company from Mexico City, Mexico importing European construction products for hotel projects in Las Vegas, Nevada. In the early 80's John was General Manager the American Division of Anglo-American Corp. of South Africa. Total annual contracts managed were in excess of $60 million and included special remodeling projects such as: South Coast Plaza in Orange County (3.5 million), La Costa County Club ($4 Million) and the UCLA Medical Center (2.5 Million). In 1982 John was hired as VP-General Manager of DMI (Design, Manufacturing Installation of Buena Park, Calif. to manage their molding fabrication and manufacturing plant. From 1986 through 1993, John was the founder of J.P.'s Construction Services, doing consulting, restoration and remodeling. John sold the company in 1993, prior to founding Cosmo Computers. |
