The candidate for balance

By Deborah L "Debbie" (Weir) Franklin

Candidate for Council Member; City of Banning; 4 Year Term

This information is provided by the candidate
Balance in programs and projects all parts of the city and its residents
I believe all residents of the city need representation on the council and in all city projects and programs. At this time, no one else either sitting or running for the council live in the northeast section of the city. I do and have for the last 17 years. I have worked as a leader and team member in many organizations for several years. I also have worked on county wide programs, giving me the opportunity to have a broad outlook on various issues. I am a retiree and the parent of a teenager so I respect the needs and concerns of young people and senior citizens. I believe all people need and deserve representation, no matter where they live or who they are.

Additionally, many citizens like the rural flavor of the city. Time has demanded some changes from the past setting. I believe a balance can be achieved between maintaining the rural flavor of the city and economic development required for the survival of the city.
