This information is provided by the candidate |
Here are my top priorities if elected to the San Juan City CouncilAs a life-long resident and small business owner, I'm committed to helping San Juan Capistrano. As President of The Soto Company, an environmental landscaping firm, I have been serving South Orange County residents for more than 30 years. I understand the needs of our community and will work hard to serve the residents of San Juan Capistrano. We must work together to ensure: ·Our small town quality of life is preserved by promoting historical preservation. I will make decisions that benefit San Juan residents first and foremost. I oppose the use of public land to build a Home Depot and will continue to fight for our local business owners and citizens. I also oppose any double tracking along our coastline and promise to make sure any future growth is responsible and sensitive to the environment so we can maintain the historical character of our city. ·Our city revenues are being spent wisely to support local businesses by increasing tourism and ease traffic congestion. I will take a proactive stance and work quickly and efficiently to solve our traffic problems by demanding a solution be developed immediately. ·Prepare for our future by improving our educational resources by supporting the new high school at Whispering Hills and making sure we have enough parks and recreational facilities for our families. I will also make sure the contamination of our water supply is put to an end. As Chairman of the San Juan Water District, I have worked to conserve our water and stop unnecessary run-off. As your councilman, I will continue to work hard to our water is clean for years to come. |
