Candidate Statement

By Ken Ryan

Candidate for Council Member; City of Yorba Linda

This information is provided by the candidate
This is my Official Candidate Statement that was sent to all voters
NAME: KEN RYAN AGE: 44 OCCUPATION: COUNCILMAN/URBAN PLANNER/BUSINESSOWNER

As current Councilman and former Mayor, I have worked hard to bring common sense, fairness and objectivity back to City Hall.

Two years ago you elected me to fill a vacancy on the Yorba Linda City Council. At that time, our city was in turmoil and politics had gotten in the way of good City business.

Since then, much progress has been made. We have resolved our former City Manager situation, renewed our contract with the Brea Police, implemented Imperial Highway and other roadway and landscape improvements and selected highly qualified residents for various City Commissions.

We have initiated important park projects, completed Black Gold Golf Club, and ensured our fiscal strength by bringing in new businesses and commercial enterprises.

I have consistently voted to maintain our low-density General Plan and have worked to promote solutions with the Placentia-Yorba Linda School District to resolve interagency differences.

My wife Margie and I have twin boys, Tommy and Robert, who attend local schools and are active in youth sports. We care about Yorba Linda's future.

I am proud to be supported by Congressman Miller, Senator Ackerman, Assemblywoman Daucher, and many local law enforcement professionals.

Please contact me at 714-970-9420 or online at kryan4council@aol.com.
