Ballot Statement of Robert B. Ring

By Robert B. "Bob" Ring

Candidate for Council Member; City of Laguna Woods

This information is provided by the candidate
I support:

  • Increasing street lighting in Leisure World.
  • Improving city street safety and landscaping.
  • Reducing our electric bills.
  • Protecting you from identity theft.
  • Reducing the number of unwanted telephone intrusions into our lives.
  • Preventing the extension of Santa Maria Avenue.
  • Attracting businesses that provide goods and services that meet our needs.
  • Preserving open space and our environment.
  • Aggressively continuing our fight against an airport at El Toro.

Open decision-making is important to me because it encourages your participation and a common sense approach to city government. I will continue to hold neighborhood meetings to solicit your input so that I can accurately represent you.

As a fourteen-year resident, my credentials include: Orange County Senior Citizens Advisory Council - Housing Committee Chair, 2001-02 Orange County Grand Jury; former Golden Rain Foundation President, former Third Laguna Hills Mutual President.

As your City Councilman, I serve on the General Plan and Utilities Committees and represent our city on the Laguna Canyon Foundation. I worked to obtain $2.7 million in state grants to acquire the property at El Toro and Aliso Creek Roads. We have achieved our objective, it will remain open space rather than being developed as housing. I will vote for a General (Long Range) Plan and City services that represent your wishes.

Join me. I welcome your ideas and suggestions.
