Candidate for
Council Member; City of Dana Point

BACKGROUND

My early development was all geared to being a rancher. Growing up on a farm in San Luis Obispo that's the only work I had ever done with the exception of a small stint in the oil fields of Santa Maria while going to school. I left Cal Poly San Luis Obispo to take over an uncles ranch along with my father My uncle was leaving California and had purchased another Ranch in Montana. We raised wheat and barley along with about 800 head of stocker steers.

I left agriculture in 72 tired of long days, isolation, and no money and began a career in the construction of Nuclear Power Plants. First at Diablo Canyon later at San Onofre for Bechtel Power Corp. My job as a welding engineer was very exciting at that time. But most of all it introduced me to Dana Point where its vacation living every day. I did not transfer when construction ended having purchased a sailboat, condo, and was playing hard 2 man beach volleyball every Sunday.

Looking for something new I chose Real Estate a hot item in the area. I currently am a Broker operating out of my home. Also I work a graveyard shift at a convenience store a great way to meet some of the nicest people in town.

Recently I chose to run for City Council. My interest in the progress of the city, some disagreement on some issues and a desire to watch and have some control over our finances influenced this desision. Also it is definitely a great challenge and I expect to do a good job.

I have served as a director of San Luis Obispo County Farm Bureau, President Homeowners Association and Capistrano Lions Club. Past Member California Farm Bureau and California Cattlemen's Association.

I am a member of California Association of Realtors, South Orange County Association of Realtors, and National Association of Realtors. Also the Laguna Niguel Chamber of Commerce.

Currently I am a minor supporter of the Thalians and Family Assessment Counseling and Educational Services.
