Official Ballot StatementBy Wyatt HartCandidate for Council Member; City of San Juan Capistrano; 4 Year Term | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
This is the statement I placed in the sample voter package that will be mailed to you in late SeptemberMy experience as a retired Sheriff's Captain, 34 year resident of San Juan Capistrano and current city councilman, uniquely qualifies me to continue serving as your representative on the San Juan Capistrano Council. My priority has been to complement our historic past with the changing needs of the future and to preserve our rural, small town characteristics. I stand on my voting record and am proud of my contribution to this council's accomplishments: Combating crime and gang activity by adding officers and providing this city with one of the lowest crime rates in the state. Revising the General Plan and instituting a building moratorium to ensure that we live in a safe, well planned community. Opposing railroad "Double Tracking" in downtown, which would be detrimental to our historical structures. Leading efforts to build the Community Center, meeting our senior's recreation and cultural needs. Supporting the opening of a new High School. Providing our youth with safe venues...the San Juan Capistrano Sports Park and the Boys and Girls Club. Renovation of historical downtown district, including Mission Promenade. Initiating efforts to remove trash trucks from the Orgeta Highway. You can reach me on-line at hartcampaign@yahoo.com with your comments and questions. I ask for your support and your vote. |
