My wife Sandy and I have lived in Garden Grove for 35 years. We have raised our six children here and have been active in our schools, church and community. Our children and grandchildren live in Garden Grove. I love our City and want to help make this the best and safest place for all our residents # for you, for your children, for your grandchildren. I attended Sacred Heart High School in San Francisco and received my BA in Administration of Justice from California State University at Fullerton. I am a member of the Garden Grove Elks Lodge No. 1952, and the Garden Grove Lions Club. I deliver meals on wheels through the Garden Grove Senior Center. I have served as President of Southern California Internal Affairs Investigators Association, Vice-Chairman of the Garden Grove Housing Commission, and am a member of the North Orange County Joint Powers Fire Authority, the West Orange County Water Board, the Orange County Office on Aging, and the Orange County Public Library Finance Commission, I served as a police officer in Garden Grove for more than 25 years, earning numerous awards and citations, including the Medal of Valor, the highest award given to a police officer. I worked my way up through the ranks from a reserve officer to Lieutenant. I was personally involved in the implementation of community policing which dramatically reduced crime in our city. When you elected me to the City Council in 1998, I retired as a Garden Grove Police Lieutenant in order to devote my energy to making our City a better and safer place. I have represented you to the best of my ability, and now I seek your vote to continue to serve on the City Council. I welcome your questions and comments # and your vote! |
