Dear Irvine Voters and Parents:

Thank you for allowing me to serve you these last four years...

Thank you for voting for me four years ago and for supporting me during the years while I've been carrying out my duties as a Board Member and President of Irvine Unified School District. Your support and encouragement have provided me with necessary strength and sound advice to deal with at times tough decisions to make. Despite the rough budgetary past few years, Irvine schools continuously boasts the highest academic achievements in the County and the District remains as one of the top performance school districts in the state.

Past four years have provided me with good "training" to serve better the next four years. School issues are certainly complex and render challenges hard to find easy solutions some times. It is too premature for me to bury my gained experience from the District during the past four years. I want to serve our school community with most "senior status" expertise and wisdom among the board members.

As a balanced conservative, I will continue to strive my effort for our school children and the District:

· To achieve the top ranking Academics
· To Keep Our Schools Safe, and
· To Bring About Fiscal Stability to the District.

Please support me to accomplish these goals. You, the voters, are the source of my strength and courage to bolster new ideas. Now with the new Superintendent in the District, I anticipate the stability and high expectations for new vision at the same time. As an experienced and prepared Board Member, I promised to you to deliver my best service and leadership for the District to heighten your trust in me.
