Chuck Della Sala for Monterey City Council

By Chuck Della Sala

Candidate for Councilmember; City of Monterey

This information is provided by the candidate
I was born and raised in Monterey; graduated from Monterey High School in 1973 and earned a degree in Business from Santa Clara University in 1977. My wife, Sandy, and I raised our family here and look forward to the day our children will raise their families here.

Understanding our community needs and desires is gained from community service; my service to you includes:

President, Monterey Peninsula Chamber of Commerce, 1989; Robert C. Littlefield Award recipient for community service, 1991; Sports Center Leadership Committee, 1992; Monterey Planning Commissioner since 1992, chair 7/94-7/95; President, Monterey PONY Baseball/Softball, Inc since 1996.

Monterey is special to me as it is to all of us who call Monterey home. We must maintain a delicate balance between our natural environment and a healthy economy.

I strongly support a year-round, fast and fun trolley for residents and visitors to help manage our traffic and parking. I'll encourage partnerships with businesses and schools to save tax money. I'll stand up for what is right and fair for all residents and employees of Monterey.

The key to our success as a community is a balanced and thoughtful approach to problem solving. I'll bring a fresh perspective to the council.

I humbly ask for your vote.
