"NO MORE TWO PARTY SYSTEMS -PLEASE..."

By Bob Oliver

Candidate for Mayor; City of Monterey

This information is provided by the candidate
Some would argue and most would come to agree - "I am you, unique. Can I live with you? May I live with you -please?"
Reply to Herald endorsement of Mayor Albert - failing schools and failing City Policy

"Bob Oliver for Mayor of Monterey"

I promise open, honest , responsive government. Solutions to problems: MPUSD, Water, Monterey Airport - scheduling / toxic waste, housing shortages - overcrowding, employment, wasteful spending, lawsuits, abuse of power by Police and City. I'll listen and treat you fairly, then judge by merit - not restriction.
Monterey Sport Center : Herald editorials stated building costs at $8,000,000 in the months before completion. Within days after opening, reportedly $12 million then $19 million. City employees confide - $40,000,000!. At this 5 times the original cost figure, the proposed $18,000,000 Civic Center could cost as much as $90,000,000. Join me - ask for State and local Audits of MPUSD. Elect me and be part of my commitment to remove politics from these issues. Support me, and Monterey Police and Fire Protection Officers will have no need for Binding Arbitration Agreements.
Arm yourselves with knowledge, not a school district, on its present course, likely to declare bankruptcy within two years.

Audit - Educate - Fund.
Ask yourself , "Is this a safe community?"
