Kern County, CA November 5, 2002 Election
Smart Voter Political Philosophy for Stephen M. "Mike" Radon

Candidate for
Director; Kern County Water Agency; Division 4

This information is provided by the candidate

Kern County is blessed numerous water sources. We have a huge underground water basin, the Kern River and State and Federal imported water. By building cooperation throughout the water community, we have been able import and store large quantities of water during wet years and use these stored supplies during dry years. This cooperative spirit has allowed the urban areas, farming and industry to prosper together.

The Kern County Water Agency has been integral in building the Kern Water Bank, securing lower Kern River water rights, building extensive infrastructure to move water throughout the county and improving deliveries of state water project water.

As a Water Agency Director, I have worked diligently over the years to keep our water supply Safe, Secure and Affordable.
