Smart Voter Political Philosophy for Mary R. (CRAMER) Mahoney

Candidate for
Mayor; City of Eureka

This information is provided by the candidate

I have decided to enter the race for Mayor because after 23 years working for the city I find myself missing the connection to the city and it's staff. I find after reading the City of Eureka Charter, the Mayor's role is limited, with no administrative duties allowed. My most valuable asset to the city is my Time,Willingness to listen and knowledge of how city government works. I made the decision when first entering this race to not accept donations nor to plan any fundraisers. I do not feel any candidate willing to serve their community should need to spend a lot of money. There are plenty of free opportunties to get your message out, such as this site,Keet TV's special forums, donated radio time, the feature articles in local newspapers, but best of all is the willingness of family, friends and neighbors recommending you. I also did not plan on doing any signs, but after several requests, did make my own signs and offered as people asked for one.
