Candidate Statement

By Joe Chinn

Candidate for Director; El Dorado Hills Community Services District

This information is provided by the candidate
Brief biography and candidate position.
Having lived in El Dorado Hills for over ten years with my wife and two young children, we believe El Dorado Hills is a great community. I have a very strong interest in seeing parks, recreation, and community activities and programs keep pace with the rapidly growing population for all segments of the population. I also believe it is important we preserve and protect the open space which helps provide this community with its natural beauty, while adding trails so we can take advantage of the beauty.

In balancing the needs of the community with the availability of funds, I believe it is critical we deliver programs and facilities for all citizens in El Dorado Hills with a great deal of financial accountability and integrity. I am also committed to finding solutions to correct the current problems in the CC&R design review process while maintaining the positive aspects of the CC&Rs in protecting El Dorado Hills property values.

My thirteen years of public policy, public finance, and management work experience in both the public sector and private sector, as a consultant to government entities throughout California, provides me with a diversity of knowledge and experience to meet the CSD's challenges and find solutions to problems we face.

In March 2002, I was appointed to fill a vacant seat on the CSD Board of Directors, I am strongly committed to working with you to develop and implement programs and policies to meet the needs of El Dorado Hills residents. I respectfully request your support.
