I believe that revitalization of substandard commercial areas is essential to improving the quality of life of the neighbors, enhancing property values, and providing revenue for City services. Revitalization of the Contra Costa Shopping Center provides the City with a unique opportunity to turn this area into a true showplace for Pleasant Hill. A city-wide task force has studied this site and has made recommendations to the Redevelopment Agency. This site presents an opportunity to provide neighborhood businesses, along with sensible housing and recreational amenities. |
