Dr. Elizabeth ("Beth") Rogers Beth Rogers is a 4th generation of her family to live and work in the Central Coast, a farmer, an entrepreneur, and an active citizen who has contributed to her community through extensive public service. As a successful businesswoman, she has worked to provide jobs in the Central Coast, and has served on both State and Federal commissions and other organizations seeking to ensure a sound business climate in California while maintaining the State's commitment to a safe environment. She also understands the role of government, having served on State and local environmental boards, and knows how to make government services more responsive to the communities and citizens they serve. Widowed at an early age with 2 children, she changed from her original career goal of teaching and began a successful business career to raise her family. She and her husband of the past 23 years, Richard Rogers, reside in Camarillo, with their 5 children including a foster son from El Salvador. Richard is a graduate of the Naval Academy and a Vietnam Veteran, and works with Beth as a managing partner of the family business. Beth is fluent in Spanish, has lived in Mexico, and previously worked at the National Museum in Mexico City. Her current and past experience includes: Business Experience: Currently, Managing General Partner of Pacific Earth Resources in Ventura County, a farming, real estate, and environmental horticulture business. Prior experience includes President of Davis Cablevision, Instructor at UCLA's Fowler Museum teaching courses on Folk & Pre-Columbian Art, and Visiting Instructor at the Price Center for Entrepreneurial Studies with The Anderson School at UCLA.
