Federal SpendingBy Charles R "Chuck" McGlawnCandidate for United States Representative; District 40; Libertarian Party | |

UN-DO the mess caused by the Federal Government overspending its income.I will not be seeking the position of your Congressman in the new 40th Congressional District. I want to be the first Un-Congressman for this new 40th Congressional District. The problems of next two years, in fact the next two decades, can not be addressed by what we can DO. They can only be addressed by what we must Un-DO. In 1915 John D Rockefeller, if he had wanted to, could have paid off the entire National Debt, with his personnel assets. There have been a few wars, a few recessions and a depression. There has also been many decades of peace and prosperity. But some how the Republicans and Democrats (I like to call them Doers) have always managed to overspend their income. Now the combined assets of Bill Gates and Warren Buffet could not pay the interest on two months of our National Debt. If we begin to un-do the Federal leviathan, if we begin to require the Federal government to reduce spending. Limit it to do the jobs given it by the Constitution. And with the surplus, that would be generated, pay down the National Debt. |
