Universal Health CareBy Jo ChamberlainCandidate for Member; California State Assembly; District 19; Green Party | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
Adequate health care, including preventative care, should be available to everyone. Until we have national single-payer universal health care, I will work for universal health care in California. We need single-payer universal health care now. We are the only developed country in the world that does not provide health care to all its citizens. We spend more for health care than counties with universal health care, and we have worse results. There is no reason except greed for us to not have univeral health care today. But campaigns are financed by insurance companies, among others, who have a vested interest in the status quo. We can have health care for all today if we choose to make that decision and tell our elected officials to pass legislation creating single-payer univeral health care. Please help me do that by giving my your vote. |
