Ray's life and familyRay Peterson A 4th generation Sonoma County resident, born on a prune ranch near Healdsburg. Received BS from Cal State Hayward and an MBA from Golden Gate University, San Francisco. Served on the adjunct facility of Golden Gate U conducting seminars on Accounting and Management information systems. His Career in finance and Information systems has included positions as:
Director of Financial Accounting for Pacific Bell Division manager, Accounting Standards, Bell Communications Research
During the breakup of the Bell System, he managed a Federal CommunicationsCommission task force, which created a new System of accounts for telephone companies. The proposed system was adopted by the federal Communications commission and installed in all telephone companies. Chairman of Board and CEO of D.E.A.F. Trust, a $20 million trust that provides telephone service to deaf customers He is the author of Accounting for Fixed assets, 1994 published by John Wiley & Sons. This book is the first comprehensive work on accounting for Property, Plant and Equipment. Ray has served in a number of volunteer positions including:

President of Sonoma County chapter
Ray lives on a family farm outside Petaluma with his wife, Ettamarie where they raise pumpkins and flowers. They have 3 married children who live and work in Sonoma County, and five grandchildren attend Sonoma County schools. |
