Constitutionally Limited Government
Our Founding Fathers designed a federal constitution, specifically restricting the Federal government, so it would not get out of control and abuse citizens with tax on wages, with foreign wars, and with victimless crimes.
They acknowledged the Supreme Being, but dis-allowed
the ESTABLISHMENT of a specific religion for the whole
nation.
The very concept of City Block Grants supplied to "buy"
local allegence from city councils violates the federal constitution. Two years ago, I was the only one of 10 council candidates who stood in opposition to them and one
in particular. Less than 6 months later, my opposition to the Airline "gift" of $150,000 of your income Tax money,
was proven correct. The "city fathers" threw away your money. It was pure waste. I oppose that.
The Government that governs least, governs best. In other words, it should be very small. Regulations stream lined. Like the city regulation that prosecuted a local
gas station owner for putting up a sign to raise money to
help a sick child. I am the only one who has demonstrated
my opposition to ridiculous laws, and wasteful city block
grants.
As 5th District Supervisor, I shall work to cut Supervisors salary 10% and cut top Department salaries likewise. We should be servants, not masters of the people
who elect us. We need to roll back the County budget from the current $586 million to what it was two years ago, $466 million. Your salaries did not go up 25%. Why should the County Spending go up?
I'll stop the wasteful insanity on the County Board, by being the whistleblower, this county needs. I won't allow $150,000 or a million wasted as was done in the City of Santa Maria in 2000.
The Federal Government and state Government should not be
our dictators. I'll work to stand up to them. But I need your help March 5th in the election.
My Bachelor of Environmental Science Degree in 1972 from the University of Wisconsin, makes me the only candidate who
understands the Environmental issues from a scientific point of view. Though we need to re-cycle more, we should have let the private company do it. They did a fine job of building the re-cycling market. Then the city moved in and took over and did a worse job. We need at least one of the 5 board members to have this knowledge, or they will be at the mercy of a herd of political correct radicals.
I have studied economics. I defend private property rights and have spoken out at City Council meetings last year and this year.
