Smart Voter Full Biography for Carol A. Anderson

Candidate for
Republican Party County Committee; County of Santa Barbara; Supervisorial District 1

This information is provided by the candidate

After my husband and I raised three children, I returned to school to get a Bachelor's degree in English and a General Secondary Life Teaching Credential. I taught high school English and Social Studies, and coached our first ever girls' basketball team. I then earned a Master's degree in English and taught as an adjunct lecturer at the California State University. I then went to the Santa Barbara College of Law and earned a J.D. degree, practicing law for a very short time, because I discovered that I preferred mediating between contenders--trying to find a more peaceful way of resolving disputes. For the last two years, I have been the Chairman of the Republican Central Committee for Santa Barbara County.
