Political activist since 1964, campaigning for Democratic candidates in almost every election since then. Besides being a lifelong Democrat, Richard is a member of Americans for Democratic Action, the ACLU, People for the American Way, Citizens United for Separation of Church and State, and numerous other liberal action groups. He is also a member of two Democratic clubs, Valley West Democrats and Valley Democrats United.
