Pat Hartzel is a North College Hill homeowner, single parent and employee of a local business, Specialty Vending. Pat shares his Marilyn Lane home with his two sons, Robert, 18 a freshman at UC and Chris, 14 a freshman at NCH High School.
One of five siblings, Pat learned the value of hard work at a young age, working on the family farm in rural Adams County. That work ethic continued throughout his years of study in technical school as he majored in electromechanical engineering and electronics. Pat is in his 22nd year with Specialty Vending and is currently Field Service Manager. His other business experience includes ownership and management of investment real estate.
Pat plays an active roll in local political fundraising and campaigns, and has a number of diverse personal interests including camping, music, books, chess, genealogy and computers. One of his more unusual activities is amateur magic, a hobby which has led to a 27 year membership in the International Brotherhood of Magicians and Order of Merlin. Pat served as president of an area chapter known as Ring 71. He also continues to do research and studies in genealogy and leads a special interest group for the Cincinnati Personal Computer Group. In addition, Pat is recently finishing his second term as President of NCH Republican Club. His current undertaking includes being a Trojan Dad at NCH Schools and a concession stand leader at the Cincinnati Reds games for the NCH Band Boosters.
