Service to Ventura for 24 years!

By Jim Monahan

Candidate for Member of the City Council; City of San Buenaventura

This information is provided by the candidate
Responsible management and spending of taxpayers' dollars will REMAIN my top priority.
I am a Korean War veteran, a native Venturan, and a graduate of Ventura High School and Ventura College. I am President of American Welding, a company founded by my father in 1928. I know and love this city and it's residents and pledge to listen and speak for all Venturans.

As your councilman and former mayor I have worked hard to assure Venturans that your quality of life is protected while providing for employment opportunities. We must work to insure the success of local businesses. I take pride in my 24 years of service to the people of Ventura and my record proves that I am not afraid to make the hard decisions and to fight against excessive taxes and fees. Protection of green belts, open spaces and farmland is crucial. Our new Comprehensive Plan must include the control and balance of future growth while protecting our natural beauty and limited resources.

Responsible management and spending of taxpayers' dollars will remain my top priority--strong fire and police protection, street and sidewalk repair, tree trimming, clean beaches, senior transportation services, and cultural and recreational facilities.

I WORK FOR YOU CALL ME with any of your concerns (805) 653-5542
