Experience Matters!By Kate NyegaardCandidate for Board Member; Modesto Elementary & High School Districts | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
Experience, integrity, dedication -- and a passion for public education.I wish I could talk to each one of you individually so you could catch my enthusiasm and commitment to provide every single child the opportunity to learn with an excellent teacher in a safe, clean classroom. During the eight years I have served on the Board, we have raised the basic academic standards and kept pace with advances in science and technology. We enrich with history, art and music. We grow responsible citizens with character education and community service. We join hands to partner with parents, agencies, and businesses to help all students succeed. Good things are happening! I am knowledgeable, and totally dedicated to providing excellent public schools because I passionately believe they are essential in a democracy. Public schools are the one place where all children are infused with American ideals. I also have integrity, vision, a cooperative spirit and yet, have the courage to be independent. I have never raised money or spent over $900 of my money in any of my three campaigns, so I am always able to vote my conscience. I have a deep sense of fiscal responsibility which is essential for anyone in public office. I do my homework. My experience is invaluable when making big picture decisions and providing leadership in setting priorities. I want every child to seize their opportunity to have a successful home and work life, and be a contributing citizen. They can make it happen if they have a good education!
I need your vote .......... You need my vote!
