The Job of the Water Board

Candidate for Board Member; Coastside County Water District; 4 Year Term

This information is provided by the candidate
To ensure safe, inexpensive and adequate water WITHIN THE CONSTRAINTS OF THE PLANNING COMMITTEES
First and Foremost:
1. Provide for the current citizens of the Coastside
- Safe clean water
- Precautions against terrorists
- Review worst case scenarios, not average case:
  • enough water and water pressure for fire
  • enough water in drought years
  • shunting and redundancy in case of earthquake or failure

- Wells:
  • Include these homes in fire planning
  • Review the impact on future needs and coversions

- Ensure well maintained pipes, pumps and hardware
- Ensure continued low cost water

On a secondary basis:
1. Ensure adequate water to provide for growth as determined by the local agencies and the people of the coastside (see next paper for details)
